History is important to each and everyone of us. As such, students are challenged to make their own interpretations of history and write down the understandings and lessons they have gleaned from non-fiction text.

Students are challenged to form their own truth, their own perspectives, and their own opinions. It is essential that their thoughts be authentic to themselves and not unduly influenced by an educator. Consequently, students will be led down the path of discovery that will lead them to a vision of their truth.

Skepticism fuels knowledge. Whether its is curiosity about the world around us, the world within us, or worlds beyond us, everyone is naturally a scientist. The trick is being able to make our curiosity tangible through words and art so that others might understand us more fully.
